Landan antics //

Hey guys,

For those who don't know, it's half term in the UK meaning we get a week off school. Yayyy!
So on Thursday,  I went out with a few of my NCS friends to Thorpe Park, Madame Tussauds and Camden Market.

Crop top - Topshop
Joggers - Daisy Street
Trainers - Adidas

The main compartment of my bag only has a button to close it, which is why I took shitty photos on my iPod and not my camera (it would probably get stolen or I would lose it).

We didn't actually manage to get into Thrope Park because my friends magic pass isn't accepted on Fright Nights *criess* So this photo was taken on the bus back to Staines.

En Route Madame Tussauds

We saw a dog who could hi-five and has his own Facebook page ;')

This guy has trousers in every colour of the rainbow <3

- Love Sia and Dance Moms -

A few years ago everyone would have been queuing up to take photos with Justin Bieber, but now people dgaf.

The Avengers 4D experience at the end of the Madame Tussauds was so sick !

If you go to Camden try the bang bang chicken and try to avoid pervy men.

Fall OOTD

Hey guys!
It's finally autumn/fall and this year i'm trying to be more optimistic about the colder and rainier days, but it will be hard since about 75% of my wardrobe is summer clothes.

Me and my friends went to a local park the other day and it was so refreshing to be surrounded by nature and the crispy autumn leaves, considering I spend most of my time in my bedroom on my laptop. It's definitely made me more excited for bonfire night and Christmas :)

Crop top - Miss Selfridge
Jeans - H&M
Chelsea boots - River Island
Coat - H&M *
Bag - Accessorize  **
Necklace - H&M
Nail varnish - Nails inc. London

*This is the closest thing I could't find online and the only major difference is that there's a zip instead of buttons
** This is most similar bag I could find in the Accessorize website, expect that it's more expensive. But still has a similar design and the same compartments.

This crop top is simple, good quality and black (which has been my favourite go to colour recently). I think it looks really classy, if you wear it with either a statement or simple necklace as it's effortless.

The coat's style is quite popular this season and it will suit my inevitable black and white outfits for the rest of autumn and winter, but as its monochrome is very versatile and can be worn with an array of outfits.

I have a collection of statement necklaces, however I thought I would start to incorporate some simpler pieces of jewellery. So H&M can be great if your like me and your style is always changing and you basically want to turn up in a different outfit everyday as its affordable but the quality isn't amazing.

Nails inc. London is quite a high end nail varnish brand but it still chipped after about a week (probably as it isn't the gel effect version), even though I used the Sally Hansen base coat and top coat. I love the autumnal colour of Kensington High Street but I  prefer the formulae of Barry M gelly and want to try Formula X but Sephora need to come to the UK!

 Trying out some edgier effects.
Thoughts?

I really like the colour of these jeans as I was missing something similar in my wardrobe. However nothing comapares to Topshop jeans, especially their joni jeans. The extra money is definitely worth it as the customer service, quality and fitting is on point.

This was my first time wearing my chelsea boots, so I got lots of compliments and felt a hell of a lot taller! However as I only wore ankle socks they rubbed a bit, but i'm hoping that after I wear them in they will be more comfortable.

B+W OOTD

I wore this black and white outfit to work experience today and as it is near Oxford Street I've been doing a lot of shopping recently !

OOTD:
Black Petite Jeggings - Dorothy Perkins
Black Slip on Trainers - River Island
Gold Necklace - Claire's

The fact that I can't stop stroking the sweater implies how soft it really is and the necklace feels quite good quality.

I've wanted a black pair of jeggings / jeans for the longest time and it been really difficult to find a pair because i'm quite short. However i'm quite disappointed with these jeggings as they feel rough and only fit nicely if I fold them up at the end.

So far these shoes have given me a blister, but i'm hoping that once i've worn them in that they feel more comfortable to wear.

As you can tell i've been really loving black and white outfits and I think it will match my mood for when I go back to school and the weather starts to get fucking cold and grim again in the UK.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

New Look Cream Embellished Mesh Fringed Hem Kimono Review

Let's not lie the kimono looked the bomb dot com on!

This photo featured in a previous blog post called "The Playground Is My Jungle"

HOWEVER when I took the kimono out of the washing machine I was horrified - it was a girl's worst nightmare!!!

The two photos above are evidence of how the tassels on the kimono got mangled like a spiders web (basically into a hot mess) by the washing machine. I am so disapointed with this kimono and am going to try and get my money back soon!

I don't recommend buying the New Look Kimonos and I hope you found this useful,

Kimonos

The western take on kimonos has only become really popular this year and they are perfect cover ups for the summer and also are a statement piece of clothing, sometimes with a bohemian vibe.

I absolutely love the colours and the design of this kimono! But unfortunately this Katrina Kimono from A&F is sold out mostly everywhere, but if you use The Hunt (app) you still might be able to purchase it.

This kimono is really versatile because it's black and white and will go with a range go outfits.

Zoe is another one of my favourite bloggers and you tubers and she dressed up this simple outfit by layering a kimono on top.

High waisted denim embroidered hem shorts - Miss Selfridge (sold out)
White crop top - Asos (sold out)

I really love this Kimono because it's got the embroidery detailing, but it's also see through so you can see the outfit underneath.

I know that kimonos from A&F and Topshop might be a bit too expensive, but I would be wary of the cheaper ones because they are often made of a very delicate fabric, which can be easily damaged. From my own experience of buying a kimono from New Look I was very disappointed and I will be reviewing it soon.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post about kimonos,

Jaime Chung

When I think of simple and classy, I definitely think of Jaime Chung. She's an actress and has been in a few episodes of Once Upon a Time, which is on my "TV watch list".

In this blog post, I have found some pieces that are similar to what she is wearing and available in the UK.

Jaime Chung (and Aimee Song) seem to frequently wear black one strap heels, which are diverse and therefore go with numerous outfits.

White strapless plunging top and tapered pants with a studded white Rebecca Minkoff clutch, black strappy heels, a gold bracelet and Marti Zoe midi rings.

This white bandeau skort playsuit is from Topshop and is quite similar to Jaime Chung's previous outfit.

I think is such a gorgeous summer outfit!
